We raise livestock of all kinds but our main focus is beef production. Our animals are raised to the highest standard where they graze lush pastures and drink fresh water from start to finish. We raise registered polled Hereford cattle that are docile, easy keeping, and extremely efficient in production. These traits listed are important to us as it allows our cattle to be functional and our beef to be tender, flavorful, and high yielding for our customers. They are grass fed and finished on grain to gain that wonderful marbling that makes the end product unforgettable. Our cattle are naturally raised through pasture rotation practices, hormone and antibiotic free, and free from the use of steroids. When purchasing livestock or product from us you can be confident in what you’re getting - how it is handled, cared for, and processed!
Our mission is to leave a legacy for our children of the roots that run generations deep in us. Being able to produce farm raised, nutritious, top quality beef for others is a bonus of the job and gaining friends and relationships with others along the way is worth all the hard work! Jacob and I both grew up farming and we currently farm the same ground as my parents and grandparents did in the past. We would like to eventually grow and expand our operation to give opportunity to the coming generations of family producers. To get a glimpse of what we do you can follow us on Facebook @7P Farms - 7P Meat Co. and sign up for our monthly newsletters.
Jacob and I grew up raising and showing very different breeds of cattle. He raised Charolais and I raised Limousine. Even before starting our family, we both knew in our hearts we wanted to give our future children the up close and personal relationship and responsibility caring for livestock has to offer. It was then we knew we had to choose a breed of cattle for the kids to grow up with. We couldn't agree Charolais vs Limousine so we settled on Herefords. Herefords are an amazing breed to work with for many reasons including their docility, maternal functionality, and efficiency. These physical characteristics very much influence the premium beef product we are able to produce for our customers. These characteristics are what allows the Hereford breed to be at the top with Angus, in quality of beef across the world.
